Join Metro Transit on Thursday, September 13th to discuss and plan the D-Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stop planned for 48th and Chicago. (Note there was a typo on the mailed postcard. The meeting is NOT on Tuesday, as the 13th is on a Thursday. We apologize for the error)
Date: Thursday, September 13th
Time: 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Location: St. Joan of Arc Church. 4537 Third Ave South – Door 1
Residents and business owners are invited to an informal open house to share their thoughts and observations to help Metro Transit guide the design and planning of the 48th and Chicago D-Line BRT station. While there are stations also located at 42nd and Chicago, 46th and Chicago, and 52nd and Chicago, the location at 48th and Chicago has been directed for further design study due to the complexity of the intersection.
A map of the proposed station will be displayed to allow for comments and to help identify problem areas. Metro Transit staff will provide information on the project background and existing ridership on this project.
This meeting is sponsored by Metro Transit.
