4th Annual Duck Race

Get ready for our 4th Annual Minnehaha Creek Duck Race on Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Sponsor a duck (or a whole flock), enter the Gray Duck raffle and enjoy a community festival with food trucks and fun activities! Volunteers are needed - sign up here.

  • Arbor Day

    McRae Park was selected at the Citywide Arbor Day site for 2024! Come join the fun on Friday, April 26 from 4-8 p.m. and enjoy a 5k and kids’ sapling dash, help plant over 65 new trees around the park, live music and food trucks and fun activities all over the park.

  • Annual Meeting & Election

    Celebrate all the great things happening in our neighborhoods at the Annual Meeting & Board Election! Learn more about serving on the board and register to run for an open seat in the election below. Renters and members of underrepresented communities are especially encouraged to run. Voting will run online from May 15-17.

  • New Raingarden Program

    We’re partnering with Metro Blooms to offer a raingarden program! 10 gardens will be awarded through a lottery: 7 cost-share gardens at $500-$600 and 3 community-funded gardens for those who need more financial assistance. Apply now through May 1!

  • Facade Grants

    Eligible local businesses, commercial property owners and non-profits can apply for up to $5,000 in matching grant funds through FRNNG and the City of Minneapolis. Learn more below.

  • Plant Swap

    Join the first-ever neighborhood Plant Swap! Drop in to bring extra plants that need a new home, adopt new plants and meet and talk with other plant people. This is a free event and everyone is welcome.

  • Pets of FRN

    Calling all pet people — dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles and everything beyond and in between! Click below to submit your pet(s) and check out our growing neighborhood showcase whenever you need a smile!

  • Next FRNNG Board Meeting

    The Board will meet on Wed., May 15 at 6:30 pm in the Gym at McRae Rec Center for the Annual Meeting & Board Election. The public is welcome and encouraged to join the meeting, ask questions, bring ideas and get involved with the neighborhood.
