Sign up here for a self-defense workshop for our neighbors who identify as women, trans or non-binary on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the gym at McRae Recreation Center (906 E. 47th St.).

Pre-registration is required and spots are limited! Open to teens, adults and seniors. Please submit one registration per person attending. FRNNG will collect a freewill donation of $5/person at the workshop when you check in. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

The first 30 minutes will be led by MPD Crime Prevention Specialist, Jennifer Neale. Then Gail Boxrud and Dante Pastrano from Krav Maga Minneapolis will teach how to defend yourself from the most common attacks you might face through awareness-building, avoidance, hitting, kicking, and using your voice.
