You’ll also hear from some special guest speakers: Eric Roper and Melissa Townsend from the Minnesota StarTribune. They’ll share how they came to create their Ghost of a Chance podcast, which explores the history of Harry and Clementine Robinson, a Black couple who lived in Eric’s South Minneapolis home a century ago. Their lives were a window into a larger story about race in Minneapolis in the early 20th century.
It should be a fantastic talk and great evening to gather with neighbors! We hope to see you there!

Join the FRNNG Board
Donate your time and talents to our community! Serving on the board is a fun, flexible volunteer opportunity with either a one-year or two-year term. You’ll spend 4-6 hours per month, attending meetings on the third Wednesday of the month and working to steer and plan events and programs like Greening’s creek restoration, the Duck Race, Facade Grants or Engagement Committee events. You’ll also be able to weigh in on city infrastructure, planning and other projects.
Members of historically underrepresented communities are especially encouraged to run, including renters, seniors and residents who identify as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC or disabled.
Register to run below or in-person at the Annual Meeting on May 28. If you go the in-person route, check in at the FRNNG table and give your name to our Coordinator, Lauren. Please plan to attend the Annual Meeting and very briefly (1 min) introduce yourself.
