It’s a great time to make home upgrades with the help of the FRNNG and Center for Energy and Environment’s (CEE) easy financing programs.
FRNNG partners with CEE to make sure residents have access to easy, community-based financing options for home improvement projects that offer:

Through these loan programs, FRNNG residents can complete a variety of projects including remodels, installing solar panels, improving your home’s energy efficiency, and more.

The Field Regina Northrop Home Improvement loan is available for 1–4-unit residential properties. Loan amounts are available from $2,000 to $15,000, with terms up to 10 years, 3% APR and no down payment required.
Eligible improvements include most interior or exterior maintenance or remodeling including egress windows, solar photovoltaic, foundation repair, furnace, water heaters, windows and doors.

The Field Regina Northrop Emergency Deferred loan is available for homeowners in the community in emergency situations. To qualify for this program borrower(s) must not be eligible for any other financing administered by CEE. Loan amounts are available up to $5,000, with a 0% APR, no monthly payments, and will be 100% forgiven if the borrower owns and occupies the property for 10 years.
Eligible improvements will be determined by an on-site visit to the property. An emergency is defined as a condition that makes a house uninhabitable, extremely dangerous to the occupants, or is capable of causing severe health problems.

The Field Regina Northrop Matching Exterior and Energy Deferred Loan is available for
homeowners to make exterior improvements and energy upgrades to their homes. Loan amounts are available up to $7,500, with a 0% APR, with no monthly payments, and will be 100% forgiven if the borrower owns and occupies the property for 10 years.Eligible improvements include permanent exterior improvements and energy related improvements.

CEE offers 3 statewide home improvement loans through the Minnesota Housing FinanceAgency (MHFA) and Family Housing Fund (FHF). These home improvement loans cover most permanent
interior and exterior improvements. -
CEE offers 2 statewide energy loans through the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency(MHFA). These energy loans cover most energy related improvements including heating and cooling systems, windows, water heaters, and insulation.
