Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Group (FRNNG)

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Statement of Principle and City of Minneapolis Racial Policy

The Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Group (FRNNG) believes every person has the right to a safe, healthy home and a welcoming community that values Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. We agree that each community member, volunteer, advocate, and employee must have equal access To solving community problems and acting on opportunities. FRNNG is an organization of the people that serves three neighborhoods, Field, Regina and Northrop. Our mission is to continue to strengthen our community, foster good personal relations among the people of all cultures and backgrounds in our neighborhood. We will continue to create a common space where diverse residents and stakeholders can come together to improve the economic, educational, cultural and residential life of our entire neighborhood.

Equity:

We believe neighborhood organizations can, and need to, play a role in helping identify and address disparities that stand in the way of our community being a compelling place to live, work, play and invest in.

Diversity:

We value the visible and invisible qualities that make each person who they are. We know a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives make a stronger organization. We work to ensure the make up of our leader ship, staff, volunteers, and participations reflect this value and the community.

Inclusion:

We are committed to inviting diverse participation in our organization through inclusive leadership, community engagement, and programming.

We encourage all members of our community to be a part of our organization. FRNNG will elevate the voices of community members traditionally disenfranchised and excluded from FRNNG’s and all other decision-making processes including people of color, indigenous people, immigrants, refugees, LGBTQ+, low income earners, renters, veterans, persons living with disabilities and persons with criminal records.
