The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board presents the 20th Annual Kite Festival.
Kites of all shapes, sizes, colors and themes will fly over frozen Lake Harriet on Saturday, Jan 22nd from 12pm-4pm.
The Kite Festival is great for all ages and abilities. Fun family festival activities will include art activities provided by the Minneapolis Institute of Art, ice fishing provided by Tips Outdoors and a marshmallow roast. Minnesota Kite Society experts will demonstrate maneuvering spectacular kites throughout the day, offer their expertise to kite flying enthusiasts and to those who are new to the pastime. *Bring your own kite, or buy an inexpensive one at the lake.*
